About - Adhyayan School

9 November at 23:29

Adhyayan School is Nepal’s first design and technology focused school (d.tech school). Adhyayan preschool is Nepal’s first Reggio Emilia inspired preschool.

The school has been infusing design thinking and project based learning into the school’s culture. Design thinking is a methodology for creative problem solving. It can be used it to inform own teaching practice, or can be taught it to students as a framework for real-world projects. Adhyayan School believes that creative confidence comes from repeated practice using a human-centered creative process to solve problem scenarios called design challenges. After using the process on these challenges, the design thinking process, can be applied towards solving real life problems.

In order to complement the vision of design thinking, Reggio Emilia Approach is being introduced at the preschool. The lay-out of physical space fosters encounters, communication, and relationships. Cooperation at all levels in the schools is the powerful mode of working that makes possible the achievement of the complex goals that Reggio educators have set for themselves. Teachers are not considered protective baby-sitters, teaching basic skills to children but rather they are seen as learners along with the children.

Adhyayan offers opportunities to build confidence to handle ever-evolving technological tools. The school incorporates technology in making education fun.
